Wedding Dress Shopping

I decided to go wedding dress shopping this weekend and left overwhelmed! I've tried on over 80 and I still can't say that I have THE dress. I had to take a step back and give myself a break, maybe I'll try again next week or maybe I'll sew one. I think it's also time to do some laundry and wash my skirt.

Fall in Los Angeles is just another typical Indian Summer. However, to feel in the mood I had to spice up my outfit with some fall colors while keeping cool.

Transitioning to Fall

The calendar states that it's fall but Los Angeles clearly has not received the memo. I feel like palm trees and leather bags is a good combination of bringing the two seasons together.

Mornings in Downtown

Spending a quarter of a day in downtown Los Angeles is not enough. Within the past few months there have been way too many stores added and buildings being built. Time for a full day in the downtown with my camera and partner in crime.

Jacket: Forever 21, old (similar here), Top: Target Shorts: H&M old (similar here) Scarf: JCrew (any scarf works and there is 25% off ale going on right now.) Shoes: Lucky Brand (I bought mine from Macy's on sale, plus I recently spotted the same shoes at TJ Maxx for 20 bucks).

To the moon and back. I love Paris and I love this outfit. The sweater is a kids sweater, I bought mine in a large and the skirt I bought on sale for 30% off. This is one of my favorite outfits because it makes you feel so chic and elegant.

Autumn Zara Wishlist

There is about a week of summer left and it feels as though Fall is months away. Every year I cross my fingers and hope that it will be just a little cold so I can wear a jacket, not even a coat and it barely happens. I went to Zara the other day and it made me miss the chilly weather so much that I thought this is the perfect outfit for Los Angeles and luckily Zara items go on sale when it barely starts to get cold here. Maybe I can find some of these items in a similar cut at TJ Maxx or Marshall's.

All items from Zara Collection: Sweater, Skirt, Shoes, and Bag

Buy 1 get one for 50% off at CVS

At the moment CVS Pharmacy is have buy one get one 50% off all Revlon Cosmetics excluding clearance items until the 19th. I went ahead and added my favorites and what I tend to use when I use Revlon. My everyday go to is the BB cream and people always complement my skin saying that it looks amazing. They ask what my daily remedy is and it's the Revlon BB cream, I am not kidding. Their colorstay lip balm that comes in many amazing colors is also a go to that I carry in my bag, usually I have the sweetheart valentine and just a little goes a long way! I tend to have lips that do not keep lip color on and this tends to stay fairly longer than the rest. I just bought the eyeshadow and I cannot wait until I use it, I like simple colors because anything heavy does not work on me. I added a few other items that I have heard great things but have not personally tried. If you have tried it, please share!

1. Colorstay Eyeshadow: $5.49
2. Blush with a mirror compartment: $6.99
3. BB Cream: $9.99
4. Grow Luscious Plump Mascara: $4.97
5. Beyond Natural Bronzer and Blush: $6.95
6. Colorstay Lipbalm: $6.99

Thanks for stopping by!

My Favorite Dress!

Finally a wedding where I can wear this dress! I don’t know if it is considered vintage but this dress was designed and sewn by my mom when she was my age in the 70’s. I cannot get over how beautiful it is and how light for these hot September days. I just feel very Sex in the City when I where this but unfortunately it’s not the city but the valley of Los Angeles.

Dress: Hand sewn mother designed. Shoes: Zara (old) but similar here Jewelry: Different various stores. Clutch: Vintage (was my mothers back in Lebanon).

Back to School

Back to school night was last night and I had some time to sneak out with the fiancé and grab a quick lunch. Almost everything I'm wearing but the bag was bought on sale with not only additional (50%) discounts but also I applied my educators discount (15%). I can say that the entire outfit minus the bag was less that 30 bucks! What a steal!

Shirt: J.Crew but old (similar one here) Pants: J.Crew Bag: Zara

Ice Cream and Shopping... My first post.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

My first try at Blogger and I can't be more excited! For years I have been saying that I want to blog my lifestyle on a teacher's budget and my fiancé convinced me to finally start! This was one of our outings at The Americana and he snapped this picture as I was enjoying my ice cream.
