The Holidays! How I love them! Especially Christmas and New Years Eve! Every year we go to my sisters and have a great big dinner and Santa brings toys for the kids. Every year I tell myself I will wear an elegant skirt and end up in a dress but not this year, nope! I finally wore this beautiful skirt for the holidays and I loved it!

I am grateful for so many things this year from getting engaged, starting a new job, and much much more, that the giveaway I will be hosting will start this weekend and end when I get back from my trip. I know I would love a $50 dollar gift card to Nordstrom! Stay tuned...

Black on Rails

Winter Vacation has officially started and the weather can't get any better! My fiancé bought me this shirt for my birthday and it is the most comfortable shirt I have ever owned, it feels like you are in your best pajamas all day! I decided to play it up with this skirt because it's a rarity to see fun shirts with a skirt and sneakers. How would you wear it?

Stay tuned! I was just offered a new amazing job at a local school and as a pay it forward I will be having a giveaway on this blog very soon for a $50 dollar Nordstrom gift card!

Pencil Skirt and Crop Top

Sometimes I get stuck with what I want to wear and have an urge to dress a little sexy with a little sophistication. On Friday night I decided to pull together this outfit that I have seen been played around in different variations so I put together my little version. The pencil skirt and crop top is out of my usually but sometimes it's fun stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. What do you think?

Denim and Sparkles

Outfit of the day

Work holiday parties are usually not on everyone's to do list for the holiday season and deciding what to wear to one is not easy either! However, since my work has a more relaxed feel to it, I decided to wear some denim and sparkles! I'm huge fan of denim on denim right now and I found these awesome Ivanka Trump heels at Nordstrom Rack for 60 bucks! I had to have them so I bought them and I can't get enough of them! What is your go to staple at the moment?

Shirt: Forever 21, Jeans: American Eagle Outfitters (skinny jeans that I bought one size up to make them a more flattering boyfriend jeans), Belt: American Eagle Outfitters (old but I like this one), Shoes: Ivanka Trump (you can purchase the exact one here and here), Bag: Banana Republic (old but I like this one and this one). Necklace: Etsy

Holiday Cheers!

christmas outfit

holiday gathering

The second holiday party was this past weekend at my sister's house and her decorations plus the bartender made this party the best holiday party of the year. I decided to wear a midi skirt and a simple sheer top to pull together a Parisian chic look, I might not have come close but I loved it! My mother actually helped me make my skirt the night before by cutting an old black dress and sewing it down to a skirt, very simple and those shoes... I barely wear them but they are very comfortable.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

I would like to apologize on the quality of the photo. We took it with an iPhone and well I really tried editing it to make it at a better quality and this is was what I got.

Happy Birthday To ME!!!

YSL Clutch

It's my Birthday and I'm closing a book and starting a new one! This is going to be the year of stepping forward and taking risks. I start a new job in January, I get married, and I move out of my parents house (yes, you read that correctly). I can't believe how fast life goes by and how things happen when you are the least prepared, however I couldn't be more thankful. Looking back, I've done some ridiculous things and some I regret and some not so much but without that I don't think I would have been this ready to embrace my... 30's! Well here we go, cheers to the past, present, and future. I'll have a sip for you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and reading my blog, and another sip to wish everyone a fabulous day!

As for this dress, there is no link to say where it is from because it is made from a curtain and home sewn. It is one of my favorite dresses and I had to wear it for a little bit to celebrate. You will be surprised with what you can make with whatever is around you.

The 10 Dollar Gift Guide

The 10 dollar Gift Guide

H M satin scarve, $4.69 / Tech accessory / Soup mug / Burt's Bees Beeswax Bounty Assorted Mix / FOREVER 21 Faux Shearling Bear Slippers / Warhol Pencil Set / WINTER MAGIC by_Mago74 el (55).png / Pamphlet Notebook Small 041 - Shepherds London / Herbivore Botanicals for The Motley Clarifying Charcoal Soap by The... / Daneson Whiskey Soaked Toothpicks / Products Michoucas Design

So my fiancé and I decided that this year for Christmas we can only spend 10 dollars on each other since the wedding is coming up and we would rather use that money on something else (maybe the honeymoon or a down payment for a place). As I searched online for hours I barely found anything but I did come across a few items that are great for those who are on a strict budget. I did not post the gift I ended up buying in case he comes snooping the page but my second option for him was the whisky soaked toothpicks.

The leaves that are framed is actually a card that is placed behind a frame. This is a great DIY for those cute cards that you want to buy but not give away, just frame a few and put it up on the wall all for less that 5 bucks. What gift ideas do you guys have that are budget friendly?

Christmas Season in Los Angeles

The storm has come and gone and we are back to our typical weather, warm. Christmas season in Los Angeles is not the best, putting up the tree and buying gifts does not make you warm and fuzzy inside. I'm not being a grinch at all, it is my FAVORITE season after all, I just wished it snowed a little or the temperatures dropped just a little.

Rainy Days

Rainy Day outfit

Red plaid dress, $89 / H M marled cardigan, $39 / MANGO red coat, $75 / Hunter shining boots, $140 / Cream pearl necklace / Leighton animal print umbrella / Ombre sunglasses / H M thin brown belt, $20 / NARS Cosmetics lips makeup, $31 / Nars cosmetic

It barely ever rains in Los Angeles and now that we are headed towards the "Storm" of the century, I have realized that I do not own any proper rain gear. I know the weather does not drop too low here when it rains so I figured this outfit would be perfect. Everything on this list is below one hundred dollars, (except for Hunter Boots) however with a little research and digging (Nordstrom Rack), you can find them for a much more reasonable price.
