Addicted to Denim

addicted to denim

It's Friday and my New Orleans trip is now less than a week away! Any recommendations? Lately, I have been addicted to denim and I just can't get enough. When I met my fiancé I would never wear jeans or anything that was denim material and now it's what I tend to go for, I'm just addicted to denim. This was an outfit I wore when we went to go grab drinks with his coworkers and since the weather has been in the 90's here I figured a jersey dress and chucks would do for a warm night in L.A. What is your addiction at the moment?

Bachelorette Weekend

bachelorette weekend

My bachelorette weekend was this past weekend in Vegas and I cannot complain! We hit the road around 1 and got there around 5 and were ready to celebrate! On our way, we stopped for breaks and my friend Tamar (a great lifestyle blogger) said that we should take a blog photo here and we did! We were in the middle of no where and we grabbed our iPhones and snapped away! I will say that this is probably my favorite shoot yet.

I bought this dress years ago from Angl and I was always too embarrassed to wear it, I would wear a bikini under the dress and tie a jacket around it to cover the top part until recently when I decided to wear the dress the way it's supposed to be worn. I think it's great for summer and pretty comfortable, and the bag I usually walk around with when wearing this dress is my typical big tote from Zara, my usual go to bag. What do you think? Too much skin or just right?

Tied at the Waist

This outfit was sitting in my drafts and I was debating if I should post it because it is one of my favorites but I don't think it came out that great in the photo. I had decided to wear this to run simple errands around town and since it has been exceptionally warm here, I thought a light cardigan would help, I was wrong. Not sure how you guys feel about it  but I tend t always tie my cardigans around the waist to extenuate my waist, I tend to do this for dresses that I add a button down to give an illusion of a skirt, or when I wear high waisted skirts, I think you should try it out and let me know what you think.

Missing New York

teen vogue

los angeles blogger

Good Morning! I can't believe that it is the week of my bachelorette and I'm excited and nervous at the same time! Eek! How are you doing? I bought this cap (which makes me miss New York every single time I look at it) last year I think and today was the first time I ever wore it. I realized that after I made my little spring essentials wish list a few posts back, that I can copy the casual outfit since I have majority of the items. This was the outcome and I loved it, so comfortable and it hid my flat hair, why did I never wear it before? What do you think? Yay or nay for the cap?

A Pop Of Color

fashion blogger

We have officially made it to Thursday and I can officially admit that my own challenge of taking photos outside of my house has failed. I was determined and I have thought about numerous different places but I'm just too shy. This was an outfit I threw on for work today since we have been testing non stop and I liked it since it's comfortable and yet work appropriate (at least for me it is). I feel like the scarf gave it the pop of color that it needed and it brightened up the entire outfit. What do you think? Those sunglasses though, not sure where they were from but my eyes looked so tired after work and I couldn't find my regular pair so I grabbed these, hopefully I'll find my real ones soon.

Casual Errands

Hello World! How are you? These photos were sitting in my draft box for a few days before I decided to post them. I had worn this outfit on a causal Sunday while I sat back and did some report writing for work and finished up most of my bridal shower cards. This sweater is one of my favorites but I rarely reach for it in my closet since it has more of a boxy fit, it only looks good with certain wardrobe pieces but so comfortable. What would you recommend to wear around town while trying to be chic, casual, and comfortable?

Bridal Shower Dress

Good Morning! It's finally Friday and the last time I was ever this excited for Friday was last Friday! Yay! Any plans? I did a trial run for my bridal shower dress and for some reason I'm feeling very red, must be all the love(cheesy I know) but I am just loving the color. I bought this dress from Zara awhile back and when I went to go look up the link, I saw the price and yes it depressed me but the price is amazing! What do you think of this out for a bridal shower? Is it a little to Audrey Hepburn? A little to dress up? Or just right? Any insight will help!

A Ladies Daily Essentials

How to be a parisian girl

Happy Thursday Everyone! Lately, I have been noticing that many females have dropped the classic look and have opted for a more relaxed look, even when out to bars. I have nothing against this look at all, I would jump for the opportunity to wear my chucks but I do think that every single woman should have the basic necessities or staples in their closet to make them feel glamourous. A night out with your girlfriends might not have to be all dressed up but I think a pair of high heels is a must in every closet and I'm sure your significant other would appreciate it if one day you threw on a pair and said let's go dancing.

Another must is lipstick and this is something that I also need to work on, I put it on in the morning and by the time I sip my first coffee, well it's already gone and that's that. Every girl needs to be well read and a well read girl always looks great in a fabulous necklace, I personally prefer pearls. And we cannot forget our clutch and phone, nothing more and nothing less. What do you think should be part of a ladies daily essential? I would love pointers.

Dressing for the Occassion.

graffiti and fashion

It finally rained again in Los Angeles and I was able to pul out these boots for the second time! I was so excited that I dressed up for the occasion, why should't I? I even decided to leave the house and take a photo somewhere else, a different scenery for once and hopefully from now on. I told myself that starting March, I will not only start taking photos outside of my house (hopefully I follow through) but I will also start dedicating a segment once a month called "Where to L.A" where I talk about fun places to visit or see while you are in town. I am welcome to take any recommendations. Do you have a place in mind?

All Organic Body Scrubs

lorie scrubs

Hey Guys! My cousin has started an all organic (except for the cute mason jar packaging) body scrub that scrub off all your dead skin cells and replenish your skin. It is made with coconut and olive oil as well as scents such as lavender and eucalyptus that have it's own healing properties. If you have a chance check out her etsy and I promise you won't be disappointed. Plus with the packaging you can make it a cute gift for a friend for any occasion.
