Rocksbox you Rock!!!

la blogger

Bathing Suit: ASOS | Jewelry: Rocksbox | Clutch: Old

Good Morning Friends! A few weeks ago, ROCKSBOX asked me to be a sponsor for 3 months and I was so excited! I get to wear all this fun jewelry and look fabulous? Why would I say no???? I headed over to the website, picked out a few of my favorite pieces and added them to my wishlist, a stylist on their head picks out on piece and makes a set with other stuff that I might like. It's like lending jewelry that you need to return, how awesome is that! How many times do we spend crazy amount on jewelry then wear it once or twice then toss it and purchase a new one? With ROCKSBOX you pay only 19 bucks a month and get all this great stuff! Wear it, then you can buy what you like or send it all back for a new set! How perfect! If you would like to try it then go to the website and put in the code amberisrealxoxo for a one month free trial. Let me know how it goes!!!

In the meantime, I will lay out by the pool and catch up on where to go on my honeymoon! That bathing suit is from ASOS and I love it! A bit sexy but it is my honeymoon. Also, while I am on my trip, I will be starting a new instagram and blog called Culturashion, it's where culture is the inspiration for fashion. I will be taking photos and journaling the fashion and culture of different ethnicities and cultures. Stay Tuned!!!

Fashion and Culture

green and navy blue

Top: Zara / Skirt: Nordstrom / Sandals: Gap / Clutch: Old / Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Does culture influence fashion or does fashion influence culture? Have you ever noticed that when you go to certain areas of any city or town, you see how the style changes and the culture of the town. If one were to go to a big city, culture is a little lost and fashion is a big influence where as in a smaller town, fashion is not as important as culture itself. This weekend when I was in West Hollywood, I noticed that the style was a lot different than the city I live in, which is in Los Angeles but a smaller suburb called Sherman Oaks. In West Hollywood everyone and everything was so colorful and bright, it just made me want to dress in the most trendy outfit there is. However, while I was in Sherman Oaks, I was in a Cuban mood and I threw on this outfit. I felt as though in different areas one beats the other, and yes in Sherman Oaks fashion beats culture, but what about in other cities or counties where fashion doesn't play a big role?

outfit of the day

what to wear

Shirt: Kaitlyn // Skirt: French Connection // Clutch: DIY, made it at home // Shoes: Keds // Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs // Bracelets: J.Crew

Good Morning! I want to apologize for not blogging as much as I had promised a few weeks back but so much has been happening that I've put blogging on the side. I finally decided to hand my iPhone to my husband and asked him to take photos (my real camera is sitting in the closet collecting dust), I can't just stop blogging. This outfit was my Sunday errand running ones and I grabbed one of my favorite clutches that I made, and headed out the door. From the outside this bicycle clutch looks well put together but inside is a mess, oops.

60's inspired

jcrew clutch

teen vogue

Top: TJ Maxx // Pants: Gap // Flats: Target // Clutch: J.Crew //
Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Yesterday I saw a preview of Master's of Sex and the 60's inspired outfits influenced me to wear a 60's style attire. I loved the way it looked that day but now that I look at it, I look like a 40 year old mom but is it sad to say that I will probably wear this outfit again? Why can't the 60's outfits come back again? They had so much class and the close were just better material. Wishful thinking...

jcrew chino shorts

outfit of the day

Shorts: J.Crew // Top: Kaitlyn // Shoes: Keds // Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Happy 4th to you all!!! I never really dress for the occasion but I thought this year I should and I did. I didn't have much that screams America so I put together these blue shorts, a simple white top, and my hair tie is actually a strap of a red dress. A girl needs to do what a girl needs to do. I will be with family today enjoying the weather, pool, and BBQ. What are you guys up to?

A Lazy Day

a lazy day

hello fashion blog

teen vogue

Shirt: Gap // Pants: J.Crew // Shoes: Target // Bag: Zara // Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs

So yesterday I got up super early, about 5am and the entire day was a haze. I could barely keep my head on my shoulders. I ended up going shopping at the Americana and just considered it a lazy day. I did have Sprinkles cupcake for the first time and I did not like it. To me, it is not worth the hype and the price, if you want a good cupcake then Susie's cakes is much better, trust me!
